“Wall Plate – Flowers 1” – Mariana Licheva | Original Ceramics

“Wall Plate – Flowers 1” is an original ceramic artwork by Mariana Licheva, in which flowers become a bright and cheerful decorative image.

Some flowers never fade. They remain as a mood, a touch of colour and a small reminder that beauty is sometimes very simple.

Warm yellow and orange tones fill the composition with light. They evoke sunshine and vitality, naturally drawing the eye towards the plant forms.

Black creates a strong graphic contrast with the warm palette. The lines define and connect the individual elements, giving the composition definition and rhythm.

The flowers are freely rendered, without seeking botanical accuracy. The forms and lines have a spontaneous quality, allowing the image to remain light and lively.

The circular shape of the plate naturally gathers the composition around its centre. The plant motifs follow its rhythm, making the ceramic object itself part of the artistic solution.

Here, the function of a traditional plate gives way to its decorative presence. Created for the wall, the work stands as an independent ceramic accent within a space.

The combination of warm colour, black line and the natural material qualities of ceramics gives the work both an artistic and an unforced quality.

With a diameter of 40 cm, the work has enough presence to be a noticeable accent without losing the lightness of its subject.

“Wall Plate – Flowers 1” is a work about colour, light and the simple pleasure of bringing a little more sunshine into the space around us.
