Cancellation and returns
Here you will find information about the right to withdraw from a purchase made through the Bridges Gallery online shop.
1. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer and have made a distance purchase through the online shop, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The period begins on the date on which you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, receive the artwork.
2. How to exercise your right of withdrawal
Before the 14-day period expires, send an unequivocal statement of your decision to withdraw from the contract:
- by email: office@bridges-gallery.art
- using the model form provided below;
- by sending a written statement to the gallery's address.
We recommend including your order number, name, telephone number, the artwork you wish to return and your preferred contact method.
3. Return deadline and address
After notifying us of your withdrawal, you must send back or hand over the artwork without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date of notification.

The artwork may also be returned in person to the gallery during its opening hours.
4. Return costs
If you withdraw from the purchase, you bear the direct cost of returning the artwork.
If the artwork delivered is incorrect, damaged or does not conform to the order, contact us before sending it back. In these cases, the seller bears the return costs in accordance with the applicable legislation.
Do not send parcels cash on delivery without our prior written agreement.
5. Packaging and condition of the artwork
Please package the artwork securely, taking account of its type, size, material, frame and fragility. We recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service.
The consumer is liable only for any diminished value of the artwork resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.
The presence or condition of the original transport packaging will not, in itself, be grounds for automatically refusing a return. However, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the artwork is packaged securely enough for return transport.
6. Refunds
If you validly exercise your right of withdrawal, we will refund the payments received from you, including the cost of standard initial delivery, without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date on which we are informed of your decision.
If you chose a delivery option more expensive than the standard delivery offered, the additional difference will not be refunded.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the artwork back or you have supplied evidence that you have sent it back, whichever occurs first.
The refund will be made using the same means of payment used for the purchase, unless otherwise expressly agreed and provided that this does not result in additional costs to the customer.
7. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply in the cases provided for by law, including artworks or other goods made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised for them.
The fact that an artwork is original or exists as a single piece does not automatically make it a product made to the customer's specifications.
