“Wall Panel 2” is an original work by Neda Licheva, in which geometry, colour and space create an almost hypnotic composition that changes with the viewer’s gaze.
The forms unfold outwards from the centre like wings, architectural arches or a complex inner labyrinth that constantly leads the eye back to its core.
The symmetry is pronounced, yet it does not suggest stillness. On the contrary, the lines, arcs and repeated geometric elements produce a rhythm that seems to make the entire composition pulsate.
Yellow provides the main impulse of colour. Its encounter with black, white and earth tones creates a strong contrast, while individual colour fields emphasise the image’s complex structure.
At the centre, the forms become denser and intertwined, gradually opening out towards the edges. The eye therefore moves constantly between the centre and the periphery, without finding a final resting place.
The combination of a wooden base and Plexiglas is particularly important to the work. The different planes add spatial depth and alter the perception of lines and forms according to the angle from which the panel is viewed.
“Wall Panel 2” therefore offers more than a single image. Viewed from the front, it impresses with its symmetry; as the viewpoint changes, the relationships between individual elements begin to look different.
Wings, a mask, architectural structures or entirely abstract forms can be discovered in the composition. The work imposes no single reading, and it is precisely this visual mystery that holds the attention.
Measuring 17 × 17 cm, the panel is compact, yet has a strong decorative presence. It can be displayed alone or in a composition with other works from the series.
“Wall Panel 2” is a work about the pleasure of looking at an image more than once — and finding a different direction in it each time.
