In “Flying Touch”, the human body, movement and the lightness of feathers meet in an elegant diptych. The two images exist both as opposites and as parts of a shared rhythm.
Created as an etching, the work is distinguished by filigree lines and a wealth of fine marks. In one panel, the figure is inverted and dynamic, seemingly caught in free movement; in the other, it is upright, elongated and calm. Their contrast creates both tension and balance.
Feathers extend the movement of the bodies and gradually blur the boundary between body and flight. Physical motion becomes a sensation of freedom, lightness and release from gravity.
The title adds another poetic layer. The touch need not be physical: it may be a moment of closeness, a meeting between two movements or the almost imperceptible sensation left by another person's presence.
The diptych structure is essential to the work. Its two parts conduct a visual dialogue between motion and stillness, aspiration and equilibrium, the earthly and the ethereal. At 40 × 50 cm, it has an elegant presence and rewards both close viewing and contemplation from a distance.
