“Desire – Water Lily” transforms a simple natural motif into a poetic image of dreams, hope and inner longing.
A luminous water lily rises at the centre amid a wealth of green. Light and colour make the flower the natural focus of the work.
Soft greens establish a calm, almost dreamlike environment. Fine pink accents and patches of light enliven the surface and suggest reflections trembling across water.
Oil on paper combines the material richness of the medium with the delicacy of the subject. Colours flow gently into one another and the forms remain soft and unobtrusive.
The word “Desire” adds a symbolic layer: the flower becomes something private gradually rising towards light. The composition draws its strength from stillness and the brief contemplative moment when the rest of the world recedes.
At 38 × 48 cm framed, the work has an elegant, quiet presence and can bring calm, colour and harmony to an interior.
