- Dimensions: 103 × 73 cm, framed
“Victoria” is a large and exceptionally delicate drawing in which the beauty of the female body is expressed through light, line and complete serenity. The reclining figure follows a flowing rhythm across the composition, creating a natural sense of balance.
White pencil plays a particularly important role. Instead of relying mainly on dark shadows, Vladimir Kirov allows light to bring the body forward from the neutral cardboard. Pale lines and highlights emphasise the curves and give the figure a soft, almost ethereal presence.
An oval element encloses the figure, concentrates the viewer’s gaze and reinforces the harmony of the work. At 103 × 73 cm framed, “Victoria” has a monumental presence unusual for a drawing, yet retains its quiet intimacy and elegance.
