Title
“Samodiva 1” – Alexander Telalim | Watercolour
Full description
“Samodiva 1” is a sensual, mysterious watercolour by Alexander Telalim, in which the female figure carries the freedom and mystery of a being who belongs more to legend than to the real world.
The samodiva belongs to no one. Perhaps that is precisely why she has belonged to our imagination for centuries.
The figure is calm and confident, as if existing outside time and human rules. Her beauty draws us in without promising closeness: a presence both sensual and unattainable.
Watercolour gives the figure a distinctive lightness. Colour moves freely, outlines dissolve in places, and the image seems ready to disappear at any moment, as suddenly as it appeared.
This ethereal quality naturally meets the world of legend, where samodivas are beautiful, free and unpredictable beings, beyond the ordinary human order.
Telalim leaves enough unsaid. The woman before us may be a mythical figure, a dream or simply an embodiment of the part of us that refuses to be tamed.
“Samodiva 1” is a work about femininity as strength, freedom as an innate quality, and beauty that does not need to be possessed to enchant us.
