“Yat” – Evgeniya Georgieva | Studio Ceramic

“Yat” is an original ceramic work by Troyan artist Evgeniya Georgieva, who transforms ancient Bulgarian symbols into contemporary art with a profound spiritual message. Inspired by an emblematic letter from Bulgaria's early written culture, the sculpture pays tribute to Bulgarian literacy, culture and spiritual tradition.

At the heart of the work is the Yat sign (Ⱑ), associated here with the first Bulgarian alphabet created by Saint Constantine-Cyril the Philosopher. In Evgeniya Georgieva's interpretation it becomes more than a letter: it is a symbol of the spiritual connection between humanity, knowledge and light.
